Can someone cut some bodies in half?

Well i was gonna buy it for you but it's pretty old and I'm pretty sure there are two ancient arcane rituals to perform to get meshes in and one to get them out of it.

If someone did make you some body sections, would they need to have textures?

Oh lord I wouldn't expect that! ... plus I know it wouldn't be useful now, but it's simplicity and ease of use is what I was referring to.

And It wouldn't need textures, basically all I'd need is for someone to import the Standard UNP body mesh into Blender or 3DS and slice it in half, then export/save the top half, and the bottom half as a stand alone body meshes. Like the "Wrists and Ankles" partial meshes already available as a modders resource.

So a Navel to Ankle femalebody_0 and _1 plus a Navel to Neck (including the arms and shoulders) femalebody_0 and _1..

That way you create an armor with, say a long skirt or trousers, so it doesn't need the legs, but with a low cut top and bare arms, so it does need the top half of the body ... Or Vice Versa, you could make something with a full chest upper torso, so you don't need the arms or breasts, but it shows a bit of thigh/leg, so you would need the legs part of the body.

Hope that make sense?

Oh, and male versions would probably be handy as well, though I don't do a lot of modding on male armors any more, some might find them useful.

I just want to jump in here and say that I love this title. I know it's off topic but every time someone posts in this thread, I grin.

ANYWAY, just to stay on topic - I CAN cut bodies in half but think of the mess.

Alright, I've got these done I think, and all the modifications remaining for the .nifs should be in Nifskope.

For both weights I made:
Cleavage/Shoulders halfway through breasts, partial arms
Whole upper body at halfway down navel
Whole lower body at halfway down navel

First off, thankyou soo much ... But ...

I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but the meshes are invisible in .nifskope? If I try to add the BSLightingShaderProperty from another body mesh, the mesh becomes visible, but it's all white (i.e the textures aren't showing) and there are no UV Sets assigned. If I set the Vector Flag to UV_Set_01 -> "Update Tangent Space" the UV sets get added, but the operation fails fails because of missing data.insufficient information? ...
