Sandormen
If the Obsidian Team are the originators of the Fallout series... ...then I humbly ask them to stick to isometric 2D-graphics,.Yes, the Gamebryo engine are much to blame regarding irrational random bugs and leaks, but seriously.I did expect only a little bit more from New Vegas over Fallout 3.So far, uh-uh... ...I believe the clever thing to do would be to wait three years after all DLC's and patches had been produced. Then, THEN, the additional mods, tools and utilities, fixes and workarounds would also be up to par to make the game what it should have been on launch. Fallout 3 had the exact same uckfupped development to it. Now, on the other hand, FO3 has become quite an daunting experience, thanks to the most brilliant modders out there, creating a game out of the unstable framework it was. My 5 cent of ranting. :armscrossed:

steamtacular
Honestly I would be happy to see Fallout 4 done by Bethesdas capable hands. Fallout 3 was superior in a lot of ways to New Vegas.
Segra
..I just want to play a postapocaliptic game, were you don't have out of the box weaponry and armor, where every npc has a fire arm and lots of ammo. I want to se makeshift weapons and armor, where i can craft my own weapons an armor, scavange parts for them, repair, that sort of thing. Now it's just a joke... Had maybe 3 CTD and all were connected to either mods conflicts or my own tweaking mistakes. Must be just my luck or people who are bitching don't have a clue how to run modified games properly... I don't say that Gamebryo is the best engine out there but it isn't the worst either. There's not a single piece of software which don't need patching after some time. First try to develop something yourself and I bet your ranting will end pretty quickly... :whistling:
aureliusnoble
Yeah the graphics aren't great and the loading times are too long, and there are bugs to be sorted out. As far as I can tell karma doesn't actually do anything, only reputation, which I suppose is good in my case, as when I store stuff in lockers in my house, whenever I take anything of mine out of the lockers I lose karma. I used to wish that FO3 would have bows and arrows and other such things from Oblivion in it. It would make sense that not everyone would have a gun. Well...some do only have melee weapons, but still. More basic weapons are needed. I do like what they did with New Vegas, putting in throwing spears and such. Czelen
I'd also like to see more BIG battles, Fallout 3 had the Brotherhood vs. Enclave battle in the end, New Vegas had the NCR vs. The Legion in the end, both at the END of the game. Why can't there be big battles during the game as well? The game offers a 1950's or 1960's feel, where is all the propaganda? I expected there to be at least SOME from the NCR or Legion, but no. I was disappointed not to see any. Another thing, the reason I loved Fallout 3 was because it offered a post-apocalyptic feel. The people, the scenery, the story-line, etc. Not to mention, it offered limitless propaganda from both main factions, which was the icing on the cake. Fallout: New Vegas felt like a revenge action movie set in a post-apocalyptic world, but it really wasn't a wasteland like Fallout 3 was, albeit, it wasn't supposed to be a wasteland, but it just didn't really feel like Fallout. Though the reason I enjoyed New Vegas as much as I did is because it offered a great deal more of challenge than Fallout 3 did, but STILL not enough. I found it to be relatively easy after level 10 or so, even on hardcore mode. By then, depending on what path you took, you most likely had good weapons and armour, 2000-5000 caps, and what felt like an infinite supply of food and water. This will be the third installment of the new gen. Fallout games, by now, most everyone who played the first two are very familiar with how it works. With that, I believe it should offer much greater challenges, even at the highest level, you should still have that fear of survival in you. I'm not saying just from harder enemies, but from starvation or dehydration. If you had minor ANYTHING, it wouldn't be long until you no longer had it. And even if you did, it didn't penalize you very much, -1 Endurance is NOTHING. Dehydration should severely handicap your movement as well as your vision and balance. Let's be frank here, this should be a game that makes new comers want, if not HAVE to play the first two in order to get the full experience of. Here's what I propose, guns and bullets do more realistic damage, the type of armour you wear has each its pros and cons, chems do just as much good as bad, liquor actually hydrates your body SLIGHTLY, but has its pros and cons, food can go bad if carried to long or not refrigerated, get rid of all this comic like gore and make it realistic looking and finally, doctors cannot heal addictions right away if at all. It should take a long time or rehabilitation. The player will have to over-come the urge to drink. Example, the player can lose endurance at the cost of kicking the habit or drink in order to temporarily increase it, making him better in combat, at the risk of becoming addicted to it, etc. tl;dr: Feel more apocalyptic, more BIG battles, offer MUCH more difficulty.
