Saraphiene Posted July 21, 2011 Share Posted July 21, 2011 (edited) Hi all you wonderfully ingenuitive people! I have a very simple (in theory) request that I hope someone could do for me. I am looking for someone to take the standard Pip-Boy 3000 from Fallout New Vegas and change the color and text on the actual pipboy frame not the screen or anything. What I want is on the left hand side where it says Pip-Boy I want it changed to Pip-Girl, and the 3000 changed to 4000. Then if you could clean up the worn down/wear and tear of the Pip-Boy so it looks new and not refurbished that would be fantastic. Lastly could you make the whole thing (not the screen just the Pip-Boy ern Pip-Girl now) change the whole frame color to a soft pink. Not a hot pink or anything but a soft girly pink yet still maintain a metalic or hard plastic look. Originally Ihought this might be a simple request but I have absolutely no modding experience so this might be more then I thought, but I am sure someone out there has vast creativity and experience whom would be nice enough to do this. If this is possible then I have one last idea to add, and this idea should be easy to add since its already made, but take this mod Vault Girl the Vault Gurl version for Fallout New Vegas (the cuter looking one) and add it to this mod. The Vault Girl mod is a screen and pop up message mod which I think would just make this entire mod amazing!!. Let me know if anyone could do this for me! stevie70 Posted July 22, 2011 Share Posted July 22, 2011 Beuler...Beuller..anyone?don't know i think i remember to have looked up the pipboy textures once and found tons of them, one for every surrounding regions lighting to fit in them - but could've been just a bad dream or something... :-)gonna have a look how many textures there would actually be to do, if it's just one or two, i might (might!) do it.ah yes and for the interface color, i'm pretty sure you'd have to chance your whole hud-color, don't think you can change the pipboy display only to pinkbut probably you could force a hud-color or something... hm... Let me know if you want to add anything above/beyond your description in the initial post.cool. i've looked into it a bit, couldn't do it yet though cause i had to fix some issues with other mods to fix first - anyway, for the triviality of this: the thing about the different textures for every region must have been some kind of nightmare of mine or dunno where i had that from, there's actually just a set of language versions (and a lot of clutter), so retexturing those should go quite alright (actually had tried some pink main-tex-versions in ps already). the point where it went from trivial to not-so-trivial for me though was when it came to changing the vault boy on the stats screen to an actual vault girl and how to get that in the game without making it a complete overwrite... but anyway, as you're doing it, i don't have to wonder anymore anyway.... :-) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The vault girl mod will take care of changing the vault boy on the stats screen, but it doesn't overwrite any textures on the pipboy object itself. So you can run both together without a problem or use fnvplugin to merge them into one mod. Or have I mistaken the point you are making? Although it makes sense to run them as separate mods so you can update easily when the vault girl mod is updated without having to resort to fnvplugin to merge the new update in. It's no problem to do it, assuming grants me permission to do it, but it would be easier for you to upgrade if you haven't merged vault girl with this mod (assuming vault girl is still being updated).
