ansuansuansu
I've been playing Oblivion for the past few weeks. The game has been playing absolutely fine. I've installed a lot of mods but nothing for the past week or so. I've been playing it for (embarrassingly) about 10 hours today and it's been playing fine. But in the past 30 minutes it's crashed 3 times. It's never crashed while I've been playing it before. It sometimes hangs on exit but that's all. My specs are good: Win7, 4gb RAM, 512mb ATI Radeon HD 4330, Intel SU9400 Core2Duo My computer's not running hot or anything. Anyway, here's the details of the most recent crash from Event Viewer (I can't make sense of it) Log Name: Application Source: Application Error Date: 22/07/2011 00:02:17 Event ID: 1000 Task Category: (100) Level: Error Keywords: Classic User: N/A Computer: Timeline Description: Faulting application name: Oblivion.exe, version: 1.2.0.416, time stamp: 0x462392c7 Faulting module name: Oblivion.exe, version: 1.2.0.416, time stamp: 0x462392c7 Exception code: 0xc00000fd Fault offset: 0x0058c77d Faulting process id: 0x1e18 Faulting application start time: 0x01cc47f9aa6e804d Faulting application path: C:\Users\Daniel\Desktop\Saved Games\Oblivion\Oblivion.exe Faulting module path: C:\Users\Daniel\Desktop\Saved Games\Oblivion\Oblivion.exe Report Id: 7a686b3e-b3ed-11e0-bb46-001e33255166 Event Xml: <Event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event"> <System> <Provider Name="Application Error" /> <EventID Qualifiers="0">1000</EventID> <Level>2</Level> <Task>100</Task> <Keywords>0x80000000000000</Keywords> <TimeCreated SystemTime="2011-07-21T23:02:17.000000000Z" /> <EventRecordID>10433</EventRecordID> <Channel>Application</Channel> <Computer>Timeline</Computer> <Security /> </System> <EventData> <Data>Oblivion.exe</Data> <Data>1.2.0.416</Data> <Data>462392c7</Data> <Data>Oblivion.exe</Data> <Data>1.2.0.416</Data> <Data>462392c7</Data> <Data>c00000fd</Data> <Data>0058c77d</Data> <Data>1e18</Data> <Data>01cc47f9aa6e804d</Data> <Data>C:\Users\Daniel\Desktop\Saved Games\Oblivion\Oblivion.exe</Data> <Data>C:\Users\Daniel\Desktop\Saved Games\Oblivion\Oblivion.exe</Data> <Data>7a686b3e-b3ed-11e0-bb46-001e33255166</Data> </EventData> </Event>
ansuansuansu
I've just finished the Mazoga The Orc quest, if that helps. I'm to the north of Leyawiin. But it also crashed INSIDE a dungeon (Amelion Tomb) when I had Mazoga with me, on the way to Fisherman's Rock, which suggests that it's not Mazoga or a specific part of the scenery that's causing it to crash.
