Creating LOD's for objects?

Anyone experienced with creating LOD's for objects?

 

I'm trying to create LOD's for my tree mod, but every time i click Generate Objects (World LOD, in GECK), i get messages that some file needs to be of the same size as some normal map (these two doesnt even belonging to the same mesh), the files does exist in the correct folders. If i "fix" that problem by using the same textures the progress continues and yet again it'll complain: http://piclair.com/data/hmdoq.jpg (why would that file even exist in /trees?).

 

I've extracted all LOD's from the BSA, textures and Meshes. I got the folder structures right to my knowledge. I've created _lod.nif's that are in the same folder as my trees.

 

 

If this doesnt work i guess the only solution is to up the uGridsToLoad to 11 because it'll render the trees in the distance.. Unfortunately it makes both the game slower + it crashes after a while.

 

 

Also, is the any way to turn the LOD's off completely (in the .ini)?
