World of Warcraft & Warcraft in Oblivion

I for so long have wanted to play World of Warcraft, but due to the fact that you have to pay to play every month and have to buy the game, thats ridiculous.

I would like to know if someone pretty devoted would make WOW armors, weapons and maybe rideable creatures in oblivion, and maybe create the landscapes, to add the athmosfere of WOW.

I already saw a frostmourn mod where the sword is avalible, but thats from warcraft. I wonder, if someone can make Thrall, Jaina Proudmoore, Rexxar, Admiral Proudmoore, the Tauren chieftain (you can use the minotaur creature for that) , Arthas, The human archmage whatshisname with his horse, Grom Hellscream, the paladin and other characters, from warcraft, but as for WOW, if someone could start a project where they can make armors and weapons and bring it in oblivion. That would be cool.

As for the buildings... well... that will be harder, or maybe impossible to make. If mods simmilar to WOW or warcraft are out there, can you tell me the link?

well, i haven't seen anyone suggest this, but will a project like this one be possible?

How the... hell... is Blizzard more creative? Elves, Drawfs, and Humans. No proper game play at all... Yeah that's creative. Real fantasy like graphics? I'm sure that real life is a cartoon.

Yes, I realize this is pretty much spam but the guy had to mention that so I had to mention this.

I'm sorry, chingun, but I doubt this'll ever happen. Unless I am mistaken, most (if not all) devoted oblivon modders would rather hang themselves than contribute to making oblivion more like WoW.

Edit: Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing one of these happen. If there was ever a warcraft TC in development, I'd be sure to at least look at it. Heck, I might even try to help out. But, a TC takes a LOT of work and a LOT of effort to make. Not to mention a lot of support from the community to keep the team motivated. There simply isn't a way to pull this off with so large a portion of the community in strong opposition to all things warcraft.

I'll state my opinions on warcraft for the record: I liked the series. I still play WC3 every now an then. I bought WoW on release day, only to be extremely disappointed. I think that a Single Player RPG with warcraft aspects would be extremely fun. However, I also think that it makes a pretty crappy MMO. Blizzard was doing just fine with the series until WoW. If someone wants to recreate the legacy of warcraft while fixing WoW's first and foremost flaw by making an oblivion TC, more power to them! However, it's not going to happen.

I second that notion. And oblivion isn't meant to be over the top fantastical. Its set in the province of a fantasy world that the "humans" come from. There for the world is slightly more "human." TES:III Morrowind was more fantastical, as it was set in another province and culture.

Agreed completely on the not making Oblivion like WoW bit. While I wouldn't find it offensive if someone did make any of that stuff- after all, their time and their game = their business- I for one wouldn't touch any of it with a ten foot pole. WoW just doesn't pull off believability like TES does (even the more outlandish environments and items are believable), and the suspension of disbelief is what makes me love Morrowind and Oblivion so much. WoW comes across cartoonish, which is fine and dandy if you're into that sort of thing- but the vast majority of people playing TES aren't. There's WoW X, Y, or Z files; you'll find them if you search the database- just like you'll find outlandish armors and body mods designed more for T&A than for plausibility. However, you'll find that the plausible content far outweighs the stuff that's there just for looks or the stuff that's there to turn Oblivion or Morrowind into a different game.

Do a search for the existing WoW mods out there and try to get in touch with their authors.

The only mods i found is this , this and this

I still dont understand why people dont like world of warcraft. The games have races in common:

human = imperial,breton,nord

orc = orc

dark elf = night elf

high elf = high elf

those links are the most popular, i still found 2 other frostmourne swords, if youd like to know more about a frostmourne story, check The frostmourne story ( my char)

I do really hope some wow fans will reconsider.

Maybe a few races are similar, but you get elves and orcs in every fantasy. The Elder Scrolls is set in an alternate version of earth, WoW is set it another dimension.

Doesn't look right does it?

Making Oblivion over with WoW character models, weapons, armors, and so forth would require changing the entire game- the art styles are completely different, with WoW opting for a more sylized look and Oblivion shooting more for realism. Unless you'll be satisfied with some gear and maybe a race or two, I doubt you'll find what you're looking for with mods. It sounds more as though you want an offline version of WoW- something that in itself would require a total overhaul in order to make up for the loss of the player base (which is the only thing that keeps most MMO style games afloat due to the lack of plot and character depth).
