Chillimon wrote: That $2 is ONLY for 1 month. It's 74.99 USD for lifetime premium membership. Not everyone has that much money to spare. Plus not everyone has the ability to use or setup automatic payments, plus with the hacking of this site's user accounts in the past, security of payments is a concern.

"I’d like to remind users that Supporter membership on the site, which costs just £1.29 (roughly $2) and applies to your account forever (e.g. it’s not £1.29 a month, it’s just a one-off £1.29 to permanently be upgraded) removes all ads on the site for you."

Well why does it say right now:

How much does it cost
1 month £2.99 ($4.80 USD)
3 months £8.49 ($13.60 USD)
6 months £14.99 ($23.20 USD)
12 months £24.99 ($39.99 USD)
Life-time membership £49.99 ($79.99 USD)

So what's the difference from 1 month to life-time, because you are saying $2 applies to your account forever, but the quote above says 1 month at $4.80.

So which is it? There is no £1.29 listed if you go to your account and Go Premium link.

The "Supporter" membership is a one time $2 charge. Life time, ad free. PREMIUM, which unlocks better download speeds etc. and whatever else is the monthly/yearly subscription.

Okay, I guess there is confusion on what is what and I did not see the Supporter info. In fact I cannot see it, I just see the Premium membership links.

So you saying Supporter just turns off ads for life for $2, but nothing else you get.

I have tried to leave ad blocker off, but every time I do and forget to turn the speakers off or take my headphones off, I am greeted with ear splitting music or noise from random ads that have the volume cranked to 1111111111111111.

Will try it with ad blocker off again. But if the loudness returns, I will try to find out if anyone has been able to hard code ad blocker into every browser and install them.

ETA. Except for IE. EFFF IE.

I killed my ad blocker once here....for awhile it was great...a few weeks.. then the auto-play video ads and audio ads forced me to turn it back on.

I'll turn it off for a few more weeks to see how you guys did fixing it..always try to support the sites I visit

This site has always been good to me, and up to now I've used Adblock, but after hearing the sort of work you folks go through to keep this sight afloat, I've just decided to buy a supporter membership.

Cheers.
