hunt3rki11
i recently had to reset my laptop to its out of box state(it caught a cold) and reinstslled oblivion and all is fine apart from one thing, obmm will not start anymore. i run as administrator as always but obmm does not open, i checked task manager and OBMM.EXE is not in list of processes, i tried leaving it for half an hour or so, reinstalling through manual and installer, i installed net framework 4 and 2 said it was already installed, changed the rights and ownerships of it, made sure it was being run as administrator, i have oblivion in program filesx86(i use windows 7 home premiun) but that has never been a problem before now. is it because i did a factory reset have i lost some critical software because of it?there are several mods i want to install again but cant with out having obmm, also is there a way to extract omods to their original files without obmm if i cant fix it? please help as i am really at a loss of ideas here... edit: i am also having this problem with fomm Edited July 26, 2011 by hunt3rki11

MShoap13
Try completely uninstalling all versions of .net framework, rebooting then reinstalling them starting with version 2 and counting upwards. You may want to add the additional step of removing all registry keys pertaining to .net framework with ccleaner etc. after the reboot, then rebooting again before reinstalling. MShoap13
Older versions of .net Framework won't allow you to install them if a newer version is present, and when older files say they require an older version, most of the time newer versions won't support them. Anyways, about your error, The first thing I'd do is reinstall OBMM. If that doesn't help, manually verify that the .dll it's looking for is in the file it's looking in.
