dubiousintent
Suddenly I seem to be getting spammed with "death notices" (i.e. "<something> has died"), apparently upon cell transitions. These seem to be some sort of housekeeping process because "<something>" seems to be actors that vary from NPC names to "<no name>" to creatures ("rotted brahmim carcass", "deathclaw", etc.). There will be a series of these layered upon each other that I have to click through. It started near the end of "New Vegas Bounties II", about the time I started the "extra" quests after capturing Red Bear (completing the last of the listed bounties), though otherwise I have nothing linking it to NVB-II. If I added anything to the LO it has escaped my mind, as I am only updating current mods. The last was JIP NVSE and CC&C. Anyone have an idea how to turn these off? Looks like some sort of debug switch got enabled. -Dubious- Edited May 12, 2016 by dubiousintent
WastedTimeYT
Well the way it works is that there is a script on the npc's base. The script is a begin ondeath script, when the npc dies it shows a message. Some mod you have might be doing this on purpose or it might be conflicting with other mods. So there's no real way to turn off the messages unless you load all of your mods at once in geck and find the messages causing the problem. TommInfinite
Maybe it's Lunette? I use "OnDeath" event there. But if it's not LUNETTE::OnDeathEvent for N"; N is actorThen it's not Lunette.
dubiousintent
Thanks for the responses. I'm not running Lunette, so it isn't that. Therefor I'll see if I can pin down a script conflict. At least now I know what to look for: OnDeathEvent. -Dubious-
