Bensensun
Hi, I have just installed New Vegas with all the mods from this list http://www.ign.com/wikis/fallout-new-vegas/PC_Mods. The 23 Mods. And i am just not able to loot any containers. I can click on items but they wont be transfered to my inventory. What could that be? I just found out, that it comes from the NVSE. But i need him for most things, dont i? I dont know how to fix this. Thanks in advance Edited May 12, 2016 by Bensensun
dubiousintent
The 23 mods on the first page of that article are primarily texture replacers. They are not related to NVSE. Later pages cover "gameplay mods", which will. Specific mods have specific requirements. You have to read the descriptions for those requirements. The Nexus also has a "requirements" button just under the mod version number that the author may or may not have listed. Unless so indicated, they are not optional. When you use multiple mods, you need to be concerned with both "install order" and "load order" (LO). "Install order" has the most impact on texture replacers and UI/HUD/Menu mods. Use LOOT to sort your LO. Suggest you read the "Fear and Loathing" S.T.E.P. Guide which walks you through this process. It is oriented on Mod Organizer, but you do not have to use that tool. However, you should use some mod manager. Save yourself a lot of grief and follow the guidelines to install and thoroughly test each mod one at a time to find conflicts. Removing a mod that has stored some elements in a "save file" will leave residue (even with a "clean save") that can cause problems down the road. It's better to find out what causes problems before you start to play in earnest. If you want a stable game, don't make any changes to your setup once you start playing and making "save game" files. Even updates to current mods run the risk of making things unstable after the point they are added. -Dubious- Edited May 12, 2016 by dubiousintent
