FOSE Problem

Recommended Posts

So i just got FOSE and the weapons mod kit. I have a mouse that has a few extra buttons that i assigned "e" and "r" to for convenience, but when i loaded FO3 through FOSE the buttons dont work and when i load FO3 though the game launcher they work. Any Help?

adouglas4312 - Hello!

Has your mouse got a configuration menu?

Many mice have one, usually down at the bottom of the taskbar in "Hidden Icons".

Or maybe a desktop icon?

If you're running Win7, typing:

mouse

In the Start Menu's Search Box should bring it up.

If you can find it, it may have a "Game Setting" section. In my Setpoint Menu it's a chess piece.

Within that you can enable game detection & can tell the mouse to enable/disable certain functions of the mouse buttons when you're playing games.

This may help fix your problem.

Hope this helps!

Since this is on the FOSE subject, I won't make another one.

http://fose.silverlock.org/ When I click the download link all I get is a jumble of odd symbols and no download or anything. Refreshing does not help either. The same happens to the Lastest downloader too.

Any thoughts or ideas on why it is not working and how to fix it?

@presna

I have tried this and still am having the same problems.

What I have noticed is that when you run FO3 through FOSE it doesnt recognize the other buttons on the controller so they dont work.

Do you know of any pre-existing problems and or of any fixes?

-Thanks

-EDIT-

I re-installed it and it worked.

"When I click the download link all I get is a jumble of odd symbols and no download or anything."

Try right clicking on the link & select "Save Link As" (Firefox) Or "Save Target As...." (IE)

Or if that still does not work just copy & paste the download link into your browser's address bar press enter:

Hope this helps!

adouglas4312 - Hello!

Fallout3.esm should always come first! :)

I take it you're using Fallout Mod Manager to move your load order about, it's best:

http://fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=640

Your two Apocalypse Armory .esp files should be swapped around like this:

Apocalypse Armory.esp

Apocalypse Armory - Optional Historical Names.esp

I see you use CALIBR, xCALIBR & Apocalypse Armory, Apocalypse Armory has CALIBR & xCALIBR patches:

Apocalypse Armory - CALIBR.esp

Apocalypse Armory - xCALIBR.esp

Using those will bring all of the Apocalypse Armory weapons into line with CALIBR & xCALIBR.

There is also an Apocalypse Armory / Weapon Mod Kits patch too, it does not allow AA weapons to be modded but it does allow the two mods to work better together:

Apocalypse Armory + WMK.esp

They are all in:

COMPATIBILITY PATCHES FOR V1_9 BETA

In the File section here:

http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=14773

You've got some mods I don't use but BOSS would be able to sort those for you:

BOSS for FO3 - Better Oblivion Sorting Software for Fallout (BOSS)

http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=10193

Once you install that you can run it & it will autosort your plugins based on a frequently updated list.

If you add those Apocalypse Armory CALIB, xCALIBR & WMK patches, your load order would be something like this:

Fallout3.esm

Anchorage.esm

ThePitt.esm

BrokenSteel.esm

PointLookout.esm

Zeta.esm

CALIBR.esm

xCALIBR.esm

Apocalypse Armory.esm

RH_IRONSIGHTS.esm

_____________.esp files__________________

WeaponModKits.esp

RH_IronSights_Basic_VanillaPlugin.esp

RH_IronSights_Basic_AnchoragePlugin.esp

RH_IronSights_Basic_PittPlugin.esp

RH_IronSights_Basic_BrokenSteelPlugin.esp

RH_IronSights_Basic_PointLookoutPlugin.esp

RH_IronSights_Basic_ZetaPlugin.esp

RH_IronSights_Pitt_NewRifleSights.esp

RH_IronSights_RemoveReticule.esp

RH_IronSights_PL_NewItems.esp

RH_IronSights_Vanilla_BetterUniques.esp

Apocalypse Armory.esp

Apocalypse Armory - CALIBR.esp

Apocalypse Armory - xCALIBR.esp

Apocalypse Armory - Optional Historical Names.esp

Apocalypse Armory + WMK.esp

You'll need BOSS to help you with the ones I don't know.

Hope this helps!
