caboose101
I've recently been trying to get some mods together and start playing Oblivion yet again, but I've recently come across this weird light bug in the Imperial City. The problem is that there seems to be random light sources that pop in and out depending on the angle that I look. I assume there are probably more areas in the world like this but this is the only one I've come across so far. I've been driving myself mad just trying to figure out what was causing it and I can't figure it out. I've tried swapping out mods and it seems to persist even when all other mods are off including Better Cities. But I've tired myself out and now come to the community to see if I can get some help from more experienced users. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qDY5odKg7IM Any ideas guys? And thanks in advance.. Spartanrme
I don't remember who, but someone managed to figure out that there is a folder for Liquid Water called "extra" or "optional" in the "Shaders" Folder in "Oblivion/data". Deleting this folder (Not the entire "Shaders" Folder, just the "Optional"/"Extra", since I can't remember what is was called) solves the issue (I've done it, and it works). But there's one called Liquid Water Settings, and in there its a folder called Unique. Can someone please help me? And OP if you're still active, what settings are your shaders at? I love the lighting effects in your game. I've played around some with mine, but I can't seem to be pleased. Edit: I also have the window glow mod, IWR, and some of my windows glow green and blue :P Edited September 15, 2011 by jimmarn

I think all I had going on here was Better Cities, Illumination Within and Weather All Natural which includes Real Lights mod in it. And in this video, I had made the nights darker with the settings .ini included with All Natural. But yeah about that folder that you can supposedly delete to fix this issue- I haven't found it either. The problem doesn't really bother me anymore as it seems to not happen as much anymore. Thanks for the reply tho :) Appreciated. Edit: Here's photos of my wryes and obmm - I do know it must be something with OBGE/OBSE as it's fine with it disabled. It's probably as you say the Liquid Water, I'd hope someone could explain the fix as I really cant figure it out. oc3
The author has posted a solution here...http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/319975-obge-liquid-water/page__view__findpost__p__3509516 I hope it works since I have the same issue. It also happens in the wilderness and other areas, not just in IC. OC3
