IS Unit Mod

Before I start to talk about it, yes I know its an un-lore friendly mod as it derives from an anime and please try to be nice about the whole idea, know the anime I'm describing has a incredible amount of ecchi moments, however I am only taking a small concept from it, even so, I hope at the very least someone will take at least a tiny amount of inspiration from this idea. Anywho lets go with it

 

So the idea is basically a power armour mod involving the IS units from the anime Infinite Stratos, If you haven't seen it, in a sense it is a show revolving around the concept of these robotic like suits that only females (except the protagonist) can use. There are the standard units and personal units, which most of the main characters have. I thought with the power armour frame and whatnot it could be possible to at least to make a similar sort of design to what the anime has. Even if that is impossible it would be amazing to see similar designs. Like I said, I like the concept and the designs of the units (if a person wants to make your own design) and would love it if someone could take some inspiration form this

Now I need to say that some things from the anime probably can't be done without extensive work or may be impossible right now at least:

 

- The IS units can fly, I understand that we have jetpacks already but if you have seen Infinite Stratos you'll know that the flying idea in the show is quite different, however I think it would be possible with some time to have a walking animation or even have the slightly off the ground gliding mechanic

 

- Some of the weapons, like most anime they can be quite OTT, though some are basically the same as some mods that have already been made, such as Cecilia Alcott's unit: Blue Tears who has a big sniper rifle

 

- Some of the modelling? I'm not that well into making mods but i think anyone would have a little difficultly making units exactly like the ones in the show XD

 

Possible suggestions:

 

- Some sort of quest, it doesn't have to be like an actual quest but I don't like the idea of crafting everything, something to give the player a way to work to get at least a working IS,I thought something like the player finding a broken and rusty old model of an IS unit and then trying to repair it.

 

- Variety of designs as I've said before, I would just like a mod similar to it so I don't mind a creator's own designs of the units

 

- (this would be difficult to do but hey ho) custom animations and mechanics etc. of course most people would want this in a mod, but I know that incredibly hard and time consuming so i don't mind.

 

- Perks/upgrades that relate to using the units, like the protagonist it would take time to master using the unit so we could have upgrades and or perks that give better stability and speed and other things like carry weight.

 

anyway that is my idea, love to see if someone can at least take something from this- thanks for having a look at the idea and can't wait to hear any news on this XD
