Korodic
How do I limit the area available to an NPC using the sandbox AI package? As in, I have NPC's whom I want to roam 1 room only, but they travel all over the cell. I go into the doors and check off "ignore sandbox" but it doesn't stop them from going beyond the door. rickerhk
Place an X marker in the center of the room. Specify in the sandbox package 'wander location' as 'near reference', and pick the X marker. Then set a maximum radius from the marker.
montybrad
Place some things for your NPC to interact with in the room you want him to stay in: furniture, idle markers. Then every time the sandbox Ai triggers your NPC to look for something to interact with it will find something in the room and wont need to wander around outside looking for something. Edit: I like rickhk's answer better Haha Edited July 25, 2011 by montybrad

rickerhk
well how do i know what the radius size actually is? like how do I compare it? 128 units is about 6 feet, or the height of an NPC.
