XepptizZ
Maybe I'm the only one, but I feel pretty let down by Fallout 4's weapon modding/crafting system. When first shown and how it was told we'd have a gazillion crafting options I was thrilled. Now however it seems my expectations might have been to high.I imagined myself picking up garbage or maybe specificly looking for that aluminium tin can to make a weapon mod out of it. I don't mean how it is now, where most of the junk ammounts to nothing more than broken down raw materials and magicly we get an industrial grade piece of technology. I mean the actually post apocalyptic feel that could have been. I imagined taking a bunch of tin cans, maybe two empty nukabottles and taping it together to get an improvised scope or something. That would in my opinion be immersive. Ofcourse a makeshift scope out of nukabottles isn't perfect, the image is heavily distorted and good luck getting nightvision on a nukabottle. But that would make finding actual gun mods the more valuable. Anyways, this feels like a missed opertunity from Bethesda and maybe some of you feel the sme, I'm curious. Or maybe everyone is fine with the ambiguous junk crafting system.
jjb54
The one thing in FO-3, where you have to keep the weapons tuned up and had to use other weapons/armors of similar make/model to do it and thus LOST that weapon as it was used to repair the current weapon / armor. I liked the Pipe Weapons, that made total sense. I could understand finding 'high end' weapons in the various Military Outposts / Stations and such and off of dead NPC. Yes, I too was over hyped, but I should have been more aware, as I did not find the after release user HYPE as strong as it was with Skyrim - FO-3 and NV. Now maybe I was not on the "right" threads / posts / blogs and such. But that too, is a clue, one did NOT need to go to the "right" place. The hype from the users was almost everywhere. robhartman9
I think it would have made a lot more sense if we had to take the ironworks to turn scrap into ingots of raw metals. Then take other facilities like the Wilson autonomous factory or the Corvega plant for manufacturing.
