Mods installed and enabled via NMM, but not showing up ingame

Breandan and others, I was part of the CK beta so I have an account. Most likely that's why I don't really see your issue. However, I think what ack_Thanatos and others is saying is that you just need to log in once.

After that you could even try the following but not sure if it is exactly what you need because every situation is different. Also I'm sorry but didn't read previous posts.

Make sure you have installed 61.23 of NMM if you haven't already. Some people think they have the latest version of NMM but don't for some reason, so hit the check for update button. Then get loot 0.9.0 either from the Nexus or Github. After you are certain you have those installed do this.

1. Go to C:\Users\<<username>>\AppData\Local\Fallout4
2. Delete the loadorder.txt because none of the programs I mentioned make it or manage it anymore if you have the latest versions. Also delete plugins.txt.

3. Run your Fallout 4 launcher at least once but you don't have to do anything with it. It will set things up so programs see your install, like LOOT for example needs the information Steam applies to windows.
4. Go to C:\Users\<<username>>\AppData\Local\LOOT or %localappdata% and delete settings.yaml because 0.9.0 isn't compatible with older settings files.
5. Sort with LOOT

Once your mods are sorted, then run NMM and enable your mods.

I launch with F4SE all the time and I never use the Mods menu or the launcher. I just have to run the launcher every time I use the Steam Verify Cache routine but that's it.

I don't know if anyone else every found a solution to any of their problems, but I still can't get some of my mods to load, no matter how many of these almost identical lists of instruction I follow. Does ANYONE have a success story or some insight??

Just to add another voice, have spent days trying to fix this to no avail. Should my mods show in mod list that is on the game menu? I too have no use for Beths but being curious i opened it and most everything I loaded in NMM was listed there too. The mods make the game without them it's not worth buying the vanilla.

Hello, i know many people have been having this issue, I've found a fix for me, i know it probably won't help most people, but im sure theres at least one person whose made the same mistake i did.

I had just installed mods on fallout 4 yesterday, and I had the same issues as well, couldn't get the mods to show up in game, they were activated in NMM, the esps showed up in the ingame manager, but nothing new showed up in the game. I spent 6 hours scouring the Internet, had adjusted all the ini's, and I was about to pull my hair out and disable and reinstall everything. Then, I decided to double check my ini's one last time, and bam. In the falloutcustom.ini, the guides I had read said to add [Archive]

bInvalidateOlderFiles=1

sResourceDataDirsFinal=

to it, I had used the texts c+f to check if I had an archive section in there earlier, turns out it was wrong, I had added an EXTRA archive section by accident. As soon as I deleted the extra lines, and adjusted the original Archive lines as per above, all my mods work like a charm now, zero issues with +50 mods at the moment. I hope this helps someone out :)

Have tried everything, just might wait until the new version of NMM is ready.

The latest versions of NMM are really bad about not properly installing and activating mods. Unfortunately they've also stopped supporting it while they work on a new one from scratch. I suggest either switching to a somewhat older, more stable version of NMM or switching to Mod Organizer 2 which has recently started receiving support again with a new developer.
