problems adding custom model to toolset

ok so ive made a longsword model i want use in game so i set up a module for my new sword, i have all the model files i need but ive spent awhile looking but cant seem to find out how, i saw the models from one of the mods i downloaded in there when i was adding a upgraded sword to the game. so an pointers help (and yes i may just be a complete idiot and missed something looking through the builder wiki but still point me to anything that will help)

If you are trying to make it an item you have to create or edit a Model Variation GDA (In your case longsword_variation.gda"). Basically make a copy of "longsword_variation.gda" and rename it to "longsword_variation_("your text here").gda" Open it with GDApp or another GDA editor. Delete all rows except the first one (0-invalid). Add a new row and use This Page to fill in the blanks. Place the new .gda in the override folder.

 

*I thought there was a tutorial on the bioware social site but I cant seem to find it.

thanks ill check out the vids when i have time, ive used maya more then i have 3ds max so im still getting use to the 3ds stuff
