spyro1201 Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 Gentlemen...*smokes a fake cigar*... I have a mind bending question for you all. What would happen if one were to hire to secret agents to spy on each other?!
Kuraikiba Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 Err... Wouldn't that just make them regular agents? That is the idea of espionage in the first place. Whether or not they are on the same side, or even the same agency, is the tricky part. One would never have inter-agency espionage. First, conflict of interest. Second, since there is a chance of them knowing each other, neither could keep a low profile. Third, they simply wouldn't do it as it is a rather wasteful use of resources, especially when you already know all you need to on the two agents. Extra-agency is more complex. This would be something like CIA-FBI, FBI-NSO, NSO-CIA, etc. The purpose would be to confirm possibly hidden details about the agent(s). However, the heads of those likely know about those details, and if they don't, someone does. In short, I don't think a person WOULD, since there is no reason to. Once it's opposing sides, it's regular espionage.
SilverDNA Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 on your question spyro ... i think this is the most likely outcome...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8dNxK_wslqo
