alfredini Posted May 17, 2016 Share Posted May 17, 2016 (edited) Everything was fine and had been fine for months, and now suddenly loading game saves gives me an auto CTD. It doesn't even reach the screen where i see my character is just CTD without fully loading the cell. Happens with all my saves and with all my characters (I have 10). Curiously though this started happening while I was installing the game "The Witcher Ehanced Edition DIrector's Cut". I have tried selecting and unselecting mods in NMM like crazy, resetting my ini files, i even restored dawnguard, skyrim, dragonborn and heartfires esms from a back up. I think i F-ed skyrim finally and this time for good. Perhaps it was time to hang my skyrim gloves. Have been testing so much that my head hurts now. I backed up my skyrim files including main skyrim folder, My Documents folder and the NMM folder. Uninstalled all my mods using NMM and uninstalled skyrim and manually deleted everything that was left in the main folder, installed everything back again, and somehow a lot of my mods are not working. For example the better message box controls mod is installed, i can see the file under INTERFACE yet it does not work in game. Another example is the ESO NORD Armor it's invisible while in game, but the esp is selected and when loading a save game that has the armor it does not say the esp is missing, just not reading the meshes/textures, same happes for my followers....weird. I'm hoping is a computer problem, i'm considering reinstalling windows and make a clean install for everything, thank god i backed up my files, now i'm hoping they were properly backed up.
