Stupid question: What if you accidentally post a Necromantic?

Do I have to report myself? :ohdear: I just posted on an old GIMP thread. I forgot to look at the dates, since the forum is sort of empty, and all content was new for me (first time peeking my nose there). I don't think it's that bad since it's a genuine comment/question, but I really should have asked it on a separate topic. I'll be more careful from now on...

After beating you about the head and shoulders with a virtual computer dead mouse, you will be banned forever and your game confiscated and fed to a voracious parakeet. But then forgiven and allowed back (we also give back your game - if we can get it back from the parakeet.).

Unless you make it a habit, the worst will be an admonishment not to do that. If you do make it a habit, we will make an embarrassing post berating you for being so dumb as to break such an obvious rule, Then give you a strike after telling you not to do that. :psyduck:

The reason for forbidding thread necromancy is people tend to bring up 2 or 3 year old (and even older) threads that are no longer relevant and have outlived their purpose. However, if you have some new info on that particular topic it actually is allowed. But for most things we prefer for you to start a new topic.

As the GIMP topic is a tutorial I see no problem with posting to it and bringing it back to the first page.

Thanks again for the enlightenment. You may keep the game if it comes out from the parakeet.

That was really crystal clear. I did read the forum rules, but sometimes it's confusing when is more important the comment or the thread date.

As the GIMP topic is a tutorial I see no problem with posting to it and bringing it back to the first page.

That wiped away any remaining doubt. Thanks.
