shavkacagarikia
Hello, i'm trying to add a weapon as apparel in fallout 4, so i took nif files(parts of the weapon, male body mesh), imported them in 3ds max, joined parts and placed near the leg of male body and exported it. Then in creation kit i made an armor with armor addon which uses exported .nif file. But when i test it in game the holster weapon isn't moving according to character body, but is moving with me like a static object. I'm know that i'm doing something wrong, can anyone help? JuJooGuppy
I haven't done any objects requiring bones yet, such as armor, so I cannot give you the specifics, but, you're missing the bone links from the sounds of it. They control how the objects move with the bodies animations. From my understanding, at this time you basically want to take your new object and paste it into a vanilla nif of a similiar style, and link up the bones according to the areas they should be.Mind you, I have yet to do it myself, and I may be completely wrong, but I am also most definitely skipping important details. xgamer468
Yep, i agree, sounds like a bone problem, if you havent attached the two meshes together. simply add a skin wrap modifier to your weapon and choose the vanilla mesh as a reference. Convert it and it should be good. IF you have attached your knife to the vanilla mesh and its one object now, open your weight tool under the skin modifier nad check which bones influence the vertices around the weapon and how strong. Apply similar weights to the vertices of your weapon and you should be good
