I made Adoring Fan cool (sort of)

So using the RemoveAllItems, AddItem, and EquipItem console commands, I put Adoring Fan in a full set of plate armor with a silver short sword.

 

He now stands in the foyer of Battlehorn Castle and has some interesting conversations with the passing men-at-arms. He looks like a hobbit standing next to them.

 

I pretend he's trolling me and being an incredibly sarcastic d-bag when he says "By Azura! By Azura..." when I walk by.

 

 

I'm quite pleased with myself.

Mostly I was happy that it could be done with just the console cheats and not having to install a mod, as I'm sure I'd mess something up!

 

It does make me chuckle every time I come back into Battlehorn. I have no idea why he is no longer annoying to me. :laugh:

In some of my games where I've made the "mistake" of becoming Arena Champion, I've actually enjoyed taking him everywhere, using him as a decoy, watching him be pounded to a pulp, eventually losing him for shorter or longer periods of time -- until he finally pops up days later out of nowhere, at the most inconvenient of times and places. I kinda like the little guy -- maybe he's giving me a little flavour of what I missed by never having younger sibs!

OK...

It got weird...

 

I came back to Battlehorn after a few game days and Adoring fan was

running around in the courtyard,

carrying a torch,

not wearing any clothes - just his loincloth.

Of course he was just as happy as ever to see me, which only made it more surreal.

 

I don't know what goes on at Battlehorn when I'm not there, but I'm thinking there is a reason we have no neighbors.
