Frequent crashes. Need your input.

Recommended Posts

Just to summarize: I've been implementing mods into FNV for a few hours and testing them, -mostly- with my high lvl character from my first (vanilla) playthrough.

The crashes increased in frequency after the last 3-4 mods I installed. These crashes seem to occur in instances like, entering any casinos on the strip, initiating the pip boy while inside the presidental lounge or the casino level in Lucky 38. (I deactivated the "Populated Casinos" mod, which didn't seem to help.) Other crashes haven't occured often, nor do they seem to bare any distinct patterns. They appear to be random, although I haven't explored that much of the Mojave with content installed. I'm not using a gazillion mods at the moment and I'll probably keep it that way as I just want to play a game for once without spending hours upon hours putting mods into it. (Heh.) I'd appreciate if someone could look at the, very brief load order and point out whether there's something that should be relocated within it, which is likely. I made at least half an effort to place them according to what I've read till this point, so that I wouldn't have issues to begin with.

Here's the load order:

[X] CaravanPack.esm

[X] DeadMoney.esm

If you're familiar with these mods and/or have an ideal/correct load order, once again, your input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

*Edit*

I tried the "Load Order Report" function in FOMM, it seems much of my order is faulty, according to the report at least. Don't know how accurate it is though.

I'm going to edit the order so it corresponds to the report and see if it helps, then make some adjustments if crashes still persist.

*Edit 2* Which of course didn't work, except for the fact that I haven't made any adjustments.

As iv said from time and time again to people...

- Disable all mods in fomm. load up a small group of them maybe about 5 at a time load up new vegas if you still run fine load up another 5 until you find a group of mods thats causing the problem than simply deselect all of those 5 untill you find the mod in that group that is causing the crashing....if that made sense

Used a process of elimination and found the issue. Seems loading a game where you're situated anywhere inside the strip, in this case the Lucky 38, after installing New Vegas Restoration just causes problems. Had my suspicions about this initally, but neglected it as I started to suspect other mods. Thought as long the savegame was inside the (vanilla) interor of Lucky 38 there wouldn't be any issues. I guess I should've drawn a parallel between NVR and the fact that the problems I've described occur on the strip earlier. Great...

Heya! Seems you fixed your problem, BUT, I figured I'd mention that you seem to be using BOTH the ESM and ESP versions of ELECTRO-CITY.

Use the ESMs and remove the ESPs. No need for both and I can't imagine that it'd be good for your game-play.
