Just a simple question, I'm interested to know how to make my own companions in New Vegas. I remember reading a guide awhile back on how to add them in FO3 using the GECK and succeeded in doing so, but have forgot most of the steps and figured the process would be different for New Vegas since companions now have a dialogue wheel. Any advice would be great. Thanks.

Also, is it possible to give companions their own companions? Or have more than 2 companions in your party?

Please search for the "NCCS" package at newvegasnexus and the threads here which describe it. There is an add-on package which supports the wheel also. You can also find the variable setting which allows multiple companions probably by searching "multiple companions" or "companion limit".

Most player made companions don't count toward the companion limit. There are also some mods that let you have more than 2 of the standard companions, as David said search for unlimited companions or something like that.

Companions can have companions but they have to be specially scripted. The Sunny Smiles companion is one, her dog Cheyenne follows her, not you.
