Sijbrandius87
At the moment i'm working on a little project for myself but i ran into a little problem. I want to make a room in a cave bigger than possible at the moment. Now you can have some chasm pieces but any deeper you can't go. Now i thought, what if I/any of you would seperate the floor and ceiling from a cavepiece mesh? For those who dont yet understand where i want to go  In my project you will go into a mountain, once a vulcano, and you have to fight/find your way into the center and retrieve an artifact from there. But i want the last room to look a little like an Oblivion Citadel but made from cave pieces. The room doesn't have to be straight vertical but should go alot further down than possible at the moment. I tried lining up the pieces ontop of each other and filling the huge gaps with rocks but that not only takes ages, it is nog really good for any loadtime/framerate and what not more(it looks really bad too if you ask me). I could probably do this but i need some help on how to do something like meshing with meshes. Anyone how can help me?

Anyone how can help me?I think you would be better off asking for large single piece rooms (morrowind style) than asking for dozens of smaller, seperate statics. For two reasons, while you could probably do more with the smaller pieces, you run the risk of running into significant texturing issues, larger gaps and misalignment (even if someone knows what they're doing, trying to make a few dozen pieces all work together can be a problem). Second, all those meshes would require more time to build individually, assign individually, and place individually, whereas a single static would only need to be built once, assigned once, and placed once. The less complicated the static, the greater the chance someone may be able to do it. You may also want to mention what what specific groups of statics they would have to match around the enterences, as well as any texturing features or formations. Sijbrandius87
I tried to make a picture of both of the things i thought and will post them here. http://img527.imageshack.us/img527/5701/vulcanopitja8.th.png starts to get a little big and wider than i was hoping. http://img213.imageshack.us/img213/4986/lavacavewt7.th.png could do but all the rocks would make it a bit difficult to build and you can't really do some horizontal (floor/ceiling) After playing with these 2 things I was hoping someone could help me with the second option since it looks more vulcano like and i think would be the easiest to do (maybe only seperate a floor piece(like OBRmFloor1A) into a floor and a ceiling piece?)With the last option maybe a piece that links a floor to a ceiling (instead of the rocks filling the gap) but you would have to think about the height for any linking Narrow Cave or smallroomramps. Sijbrandius87
I was hoping someone would reply and tell me how to seperate a piece into a floor and ceiling piece (just look at the AR pieces, they got some). Since this would satisfy me and would help me allong I want to ask if someone could explame to me how I would do such a think(redirecting to a tutorial is good enough  ) maybe offtopic: i was hoping someone had retextured the Normal narrow caves into an oblivion style narrow cave (there is one transfer to narrow piece in the oblivion caves but no narrow pieces)
