Skap3g0at
Pretty straightforward, looking for any insight on how to import static meshes/textures from a resource pack into the NV GECK. Any help is greatly appreciated, as I'm a GECK noob. :)
TheTalkieToaster
...some sort of starting-off point would be helpful here. What sort of meshes? What format? Have you tried yet and got stuck, if not, why not just give it a try and then ask when you've got specific issues to bring up?
Skap3g0at
I'm guessing they're in .nif and .dds format? I can't really answer the question on a "starting point" as I'm unsure as what you'd call a starting point. I've copied the texture and mesh folders from the resource files into my /data directory and am going from there.
TheTalkieToaster
By starting off point I meant 'Give us at least the tiniest bit of information', your post could've been about a modder's resource off Nexus or a 3ds resource pack off some other site. Since they've already in the correct format there really is no need to ask any questions. Open the GECK, poke around, it's all obvious. If you want to add them as for example statics, browse to the statics and poke around. If you don't know what a static is, browse to the statics and look at them. SpeedyB64
To add a nif file you can simply drag and drop the NIFs from the folder to the object window, they will automatically be given the same name as the file.
