Constant Rain Mod?

You do know that there is cheat codes you can use for that if you have the console enabled? And yes, you should only need to type it in once:

How to Change Oblivion's Weather (copy pasted FTW)

Call up the cheat console with "~" and enter "fw #code#" (where #code# is a hex code from below) to switch weather instantly and "sw #code#" to switch it naturally. If you add ",1" after the code (the weather over-ride switch), the weather will stay like that until you either change it manually with fw or sw again, or you enter the code "releaseweatheroverride". Dismiss the console again with "~".

Clear - 00038EEE

Cloudy - 00038EFE

Fog - 00038 EEF

Overcast - 00038EEC

Rain - 00038 EF2

Snow - 00038EED

Thunderstorm - 00038EF1

OblivionStormTamriel - 000836D5

OblivionStormTamrielMQ16 - 0006BC8B

CamoranNatural - 000370CE

Default - 0000015E

So in your case you should just type in: sw 00038 EF2,1

in the console

Have fun

Thanks, but I knew about that already.

I wanted it to be a mod(.esp) because I don't really use the console as it gets a bit confusing for me and kind of ruins immersion(?) for me. :psyduck:

I'm not sure if it's bad to do this(I've heard somewhere as long as you don't do this too often it's not), but I'm *gulp* BUMPING.

I hope this doesn't get me banned, I really want this mod to be made though, as I want rain, but don't like the consoles in games.

Maybe someone could just tell me what to do in the CS after all?

To get constant rain, press tilde and write

sw 00038 EF2,1

And enter.

To disable, press the tilde key and write

releaseweatheroverride

And enter

I'm not against the request, and I hope you get what you want in the end. I just don't see how that is supposed to be hard. Easy to enable and disable in my opinion.

Actually, a mod like this is very easy. You just have to change the Weather region in the game to have rain set to 100, overriding all other effects. Now, the only thing I /don't/ know about is how the game would react if you were to disable the mod. But, with just a couple of minutes poking around in Regions it's pretty straight forward. Here's how it's done.

Load up the Oblivion.esm in the CS. Go to World > Regions... from there, click the dropdown in the top left and find Tamriel. The weather region is near the bottom in CyrodillWeatherRegion. Click that once, then on the right side find the Weather tab. Set Rain to 100 by double clicking on the number in the chance column.

That /should/ cause it to rain (almost) everywhere and all the time, though like I said, I'm not sure how the game will react once you disable the mod though I'm sure it'll revert to normal once it does another weather check.

Note: that will cover the /majority/ of Tamriel in rain. If you want it to be complete rain cover no matter where you go, you have to track down the other regions with Weather data and do the same thing. I don't know the names of all the regions that have weather data, but I /think/ they would be Jeral Mountains, Blackwood and Gold Coast by looking at what the CyrodillWeatherRegion doesn't cover. Might be a few others you'd have to hunt for.

I guess it would be okay if some areas didn't have rain. Thanks for the tutorial though!

Do you know what I would put for Shivering Isles to make it rain?

Same thing. Load the Shivering Isles mod, and go through all the regions looking for the ones that have Weather data, and set the rain chance to 100. Like I said in the above post though, if you do want rain everywhere you'll have to edit the Jeral, Blackwood and Gold Coast regions (each of those have their own Region type in the editor, the CyrodillWeatherRegion only covers about 90% of Tamriel, the three mentioned contain the rest of the weather data)

Shivering Isles content has the pre-fix of SE, which I assume their regions would too.
