Far Harbor - Display Driver stopped responding and has recovered

I updated my GeForce Driver only 3 days ago. Have had this happen already 3 times in a couple of hours of play. I'm guessing it is connected to the massive amount of volumetric fog being rendered. Anyone else experiencing this? Any tech-proficient modders know how to fix it?

i have got the same problem with my amd gpu and i got no clu how to fix it but if i find somthing i will share it

I'm having the same issue. As soon as I speak with the people for the far harbor mission my screens all go black. game crashes, and then I get the stopped responding message. Only seems to happen when I trigger the dialog.
I have reinstalled my driver, rolled back my driver, updated bios, uninstalled geforce experience, and tried a range of different GPU settings. No luck.

Since I posted this my problem actually stopped. :( Really sorry to hear you guys aren't having the same kind of luck.

This could just be a bug within the fallout 4 DLC itself. Things in this game are very badly optimized in general, and often take one or more updates to make them function at acceptable levels. Uninstalling your GPU drivers is never a good idea, unless you know something is specifically wrong with that driver.

 

Also Ge-Force experience isn't the actual driver or related to the GPU directly, it's just the service you use to check for updates. It's like saying uninstalling NMM will fix a broken mod (which it never will).

@Zacharyxbinks, your error sounds like it could be a UI mod issue rather than a GPU issue, at least to me.
