Here is K'ren's backround:

 

 

He was born Half Elf in the elven City of Quintarra. Elven law stated that no one part elf may live in Quintarra so they banished he and his mother from the city. His mother cared for him in Caladon until he was 13. His mother died from the black death leaving him to fend for himself on the streets of Caladon. When he was 19 he had snuck aboard a Ship that was set sailed to an unheard of land where he would begin anew. A storm hit and The ship went way off course and crashed at the unescapable Island of Despair. A couple of thieves attacked him without notice. He was captured by them and was taken to a thief village. The chief of the village granted him his freedom if he joined the thieves guild which he did. He roughly lived and worked in the small thief village until he was 26. One day he and his friends were out searching the beaches of the island a ship was seen off the distance and drawing near. They hid in the trees until a a group of men on small boats beached. When K'ren saw the men disapear into the wilderness he quickly got into one of the small boats with his friends and sailed to the big ship where a few men were left guarding. They stealthly killed all the men on the ship and hiajcked it. They sailed for 22 days fighting storms, pirates, and hot weather. One of his friend went mad and killed everyone but before he could get to K'ren a cannon shot was heard in the distance and his firend was blown away by a cannon ball. K'ren quickly got into a small boat and abondoned ship. He was at lost at sea for 3 days until he finally reached land where he was greeted by Briggand's. He quickly showed the thief sign to te Briggand leader of the group who recognised the sign. The leader showed K'ren to his hideout where 5 other Biggands were waiting. He was treated to their hospitality for 2 weeks. Then he set out to explore this new land.
