TheNexus369
I made a new world space, and I'm trying to get the default cell (wilderness 0, 0) to go into the render window. But it simply does nothing when I double click it. Aslo, if anyone could tell me how to create new cells, that would be terrific. Thanks! (Why yes I am an utter noob at this xD)
David Brasher
Is this to say that your worldspace was only built with one single cell? You don't actually create new cells. You just create new worldspaces. If your worldspace is not large enough, then you just push out on the edge and start editing things in those cells. The new cells will register as existing and being part of your mod. That is odd that the camera does not take you to cell 0,0 when you double-click on it in the menu. Try performing the same action to point your camera at some existing location in vanilla Oblivion like Abandoned Mine Exterior in Tamriel. That will show if the controls work the way you think they do. What is in your worldspace? If there is nothing there, your screen will look very blank and purple. Maybe you are indeed having the camera point at your new cell.
TheNexus369
None of the cells from vanilla load either, it doesn't start to load them, and nothing shows. My worldspace should show a purple ocean, I can't put anything in it since I can't acess the cell from the render window. Do you think a reinstall of the cs is in order? David Brasher
Do you use Windows Vista or Windows 7? These cause lots of problems for Oblivion players and modders. To successfully use mods, most people have to take some action such as reinstalling Oblivion in a folder outside of C:\Program Files. For example, I put mine in C:\Games. The security system in these operating systems has to be defeated. The system views mods as malware making unauthorized and dangerous changes to your computer. So if this is your problem, you would need to remove and reinstall Oblivion (it can't be moved and still work quite right.) Then the CS would have to be reinstalled because it will think Oblivion is still in the old location. Some other modding software might need to be moved also, but some of it does not care what directory Oblivion resides in. It sort of sounds like the CS just is not working. Can it make and save any sort of edits to the game at all? If you are not having a Windows Vista / 7 problem like described above, then it might be worth reinstalling the CS just to see what happens. But reinstallation usually doesn't solve anything unless the file is corrupt, or installed in the wrong place.
TheNexus369
I use XP, and I'm going to try to reinstall the CS, it can still save files. I already made a race mod for myself, it's only the render window thingy that I have a problem with.
TheNexus369
Same problem, reinstalling the cs didn't help. Bump.
