MerlinCross
Okay so, short version; Plan on getting Vegas for PC. But, don't know what to get. Hard disk copy or a Steam version. So, I'm here asking in advance which one is easier to put mods into. Think if it as trouble shooting in advance. That and I didn't know where else to ask this. Advice please. Facte
You have to register the PC-DVD one on Steam anyways, so there's no escaping it being installed in the Steam folders (or using Steam for that matter). Personally I recommend a hard copy because you won't have to wait for hours for it to download, and you also have the option of buying the Collector's Edition. After you've installed it, navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\fallout new vegas\Data, and create a shortcut to the Data folder on your desktop or where-ever to make it much less of a pain to install mods. If you're running a 32-bit version of Windows, it'll just be "...\Program Files\..." without "(x86)" Hope that proved somewhat helpful! http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/turned.gif
