RaffTheSweetling
Did you assign them each to a specific bed? That slightly-improves the issue, but definitely not all-together stops it. Other than that suggestion I would only be speculating on why the settlers AI is so inelegant.
TheGadget1945
Which building is the bed in ? Settlers cannot use the modded Covenant houses for example.
krwada
I can tell you this ... Synth Infiltrators ALWAYS DO NOT SLEEP. However; some of the regular settlers also have this problem ... but not as often. One of the dead giveaways is if a settler is up all night running around drawing and holstering their weapon. This is what I did. I would fast travel away, save often, and when the inevitable settlement synth infiltrator attack would occur; I would take note of which settler had the synth component... Then I would load an earlier quick-save and fast travel to the settlement in question and wait for the attack. I would then quickly dispatch the infiltrator because now I have a very good idea of which one is the infiltrator. Now ... I take the 'lazy-cheat approach'. I use the Settlement Management Software. This MOD puts a holotape in your inventory that allows you to tag any settlers that are tagged in-game as a synth. Then, you can strip all their stuff away ... This assures that they will have their crappy default weapon. Your settlers can quickly dispatch this infiltrator if it causes any trouble. All you gotta do at this point is to just show up if your settlement is under attack by an infiltrator.
