Raumfliege
I wanted to make a single cat with a different skintexture. Therefore I did the following: - created a new NPC(Actor)- created a new Armor + ArmorAddon- duplicated and renamed the cat.nif and all cat dds althoug i only need the diffuse one- altered the new cat_purple_d.dds and changed textures in the cat_purple.nif- used the cat_purple.nif for my new ArmorAddon- used the new ArmorAddon for my new Armor- used the new Armor as Skin for my new Cat NPC While the cat shoes the right texture in Nifskope in game it still has the default texture. So I did even more:- copied and renamed cat race and got rid of default Skin- used new Cat race where ever old one was used- created Texture set and added it to my ArmorAddon And yet still has my cat the default textures in game. Is ther anything i have missed or i can try out?
mm137
Yeah, nif files no longer point directly to textures is FO4. What you need is a new material file that points to your new texture, and a Material Swap created in xEdit or CK. You don't need a new nif. You seem to have the Armor Addon stuff done correctly. Take a look at this for several examples http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/8477/? Edited May 20, 2016 by mm137

Raumfliege
After changing "bgsm" File didn't worked. I assume because i should have decopiled it first or something like that. I went the lazy peoples way and just deleted the bgsm reference and et voilá Fallout 4 had no problem with getting the Texture directly from the nif.
