Template for creating a simple companion mod

Hi there!

 

I've never created a mod before, except for adjusting some mods on Source games and the like.

 

I wonder if anyone has a template, or a step-by-step guide for creating a simple companion mod? Anything is appreciated.

I want to add voice files, dialogue etc. but I might add a quest later on, if I even get to it of course.

 

The reason for my sudden interest in creating mods, is that I was watching some youtube videos today, and thought it would be hilarious to make a Keemstar companion, with some cringey dialogue from his YT videos. :)

 

I am not familiar with the creation kit. But if I'm set to do something, I can spend days working on it until I figure it out. I just need some directions, to learn the basics.
