Kindly asking for some load order help

Hello, folk. I've been playing Oblivion like crazy some year ago, but at some point got bored back than and deleted it to free space. However, now, a year later, I've decided to reenstal it along with all the same mods I used to play, but seem to have since completely lost my skill for arranging my load order.

I've been trying to remember how I managed to arrange them into a working equilibrium back than, but at this point Oblivion wouldn't start even with all the mods turned off!

Here is my mod list. The chaos that you see is the result of me experimenting like crazy with it, trying to find the right solution.

I'm using the latest OBSE, OBMM, as well as BOSS (though it didn't help, really). I tried employing Wrye Brush in the past, but despite getting a hang of it (I think), eventually backed out of using it.

Thanks in advance, guys. And sorry if you are sick and tired of these questions by now.

First off: if the game won't start even without the mods running, something else is wrong. And you need to deal with that, because even if you got your mods working correctly, you won't be able to tell. Do you get any message? What happens? Does it crash to the desktop, or just hang? Does it launch the splash screen, or crash at once?

What's your RAM? What operating system?

Nah, the problem, whatever it is, does not lie in the system requirements, I can vouch for that. This is the same notebook from the year ago, and on the first start up the day before yesterday the game worked great, if not better then last year, due to new drivers. It's when I threw in all the mods that the game started crashing on start up. I just click on the obse_loader, for a few seconds the game looks like its about to start, going fullscreen and all, and then, before the "Bethesda" screen has time to pop up the game goes in a sort of windowed mode before an error message appears and the game crashes.

That's about it. Since I have the disc at hand I intend just reinstall the game completely, but I hope to use the same mods in the end, so I do need a load order.

I wasn't asking for that reason. I was asking because if you're using Vista or Win7, my suggestions may not help you. I'm on WinXP.

But you say it now happens when no mods are loaded. Which leads me to think it may be one of the apps, like OBSE, that is uncorrectly installed. Which other ones are you using? OCPS? FastExit?

You don't need to do that, and if the problem was something you did afterward, as sounds likely, you may do it again, so you'll get the problem back, again. Try to find what you did wrong, or why come up here, and ask for assistance? ;)

Thankfully I'm using Windows XP as well.

I didn't install FastExit, figured that if I was able to go by without it last time, I won't do it now. And I was going to install OCPS later, provided the game worked properly.

And the re-installation is a contingency plan provided we cannot figure an answer. And that's about it, I think. Everything else is in the list I provided.

Good news (I think). Now I have absolutelly no idea what the problem is. As the problem persisted after a completely new installation of the game. No mods, again.

At least now I know I have to look for problems with Oblivion itself. And then we'll see how it works with mods

Uninstalling the game does not remove any mods, saves or the Oblivion.ini AND it leaves behind some entries in the Windows Registry that can come back and byte you later.

Here is a link to my complete uninstall/reinstall procedure located in the WIKI section of the Nexus

http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Oblivion_reinstall_procedure

It allows you to preserve any saves and mods, or remove them completely - your choice.

I found the solution to the problem. Had to delete the "Saves" folder in My documents. The game works again with all the mods off.

With the mods on, on the other hand... Back to square one here. :wallbash: Finding the right load order

By the way, thanks, mate, for your help so far.
