Pollo Jack
Alright, I just tried Dukes, Fransiscos, and Adventures combat balance mods. They each had interesting bits added in, but the difficulty slider was well too good at what it did. Hard, is what I originally tried for each of them. In fransiscos I died at the first three rats four times and managed to fight my way out of the sewer. I enjoyed the epic battles offered, but it is just the tutorial and the real fight was the island with two lvl 5 bandits. I managed to take them out after several reloads and counted 17+ arrows in each of them, not including the sword fighting and fireballs I sent their way. After I had been fully equipped the battles were still epic. Each and every battle I had to put 6+ arrows into a guy just to get him to half and I would die in roughly three hits. Whenever I adjusted the slider I would take twenty or so hits and the enemies would go down in one or two hits. Essentially it was either too hard or too easy. Thinking this was an isolated incident I tried two other mods. Very similar results, I am either some god that smites people by looking at them or I am a peasant rising up against the king and all of his men. With that said, I am looking for a mod that removes the slider all together. I die in four hits, guys my lvl die in three to four hits, lowbies in two or less, and higher up lvls can take the same as my lvl bosses six to ten. I am one of those that believes no matter your lvl you should die in a couple of arrows. Is there anything like that in existence? It is more assisns creed/Zelda-esque I know but that really isn't too bad. Often the AI hits its own allies with ranged so I think it would be perfectly acceptable. O, even better an AI overhaul where they move before shooting or hold their fire. Forcing me to use the terrain to my advantage and keep sight of their allies trying to position them so it remains a one on one. Thanks for reading, sorry for the long delay.
