I like your ideas and it works in line with something that I had thought up a while back to expand the Minutemen questline by giving them a more direct rival or nemesis to openly go to war with. Here is a link to my reddit page detailing more about it.

Long story short: Have a joinable/clearly evil faction you can join that you can get some conventional ground warfare and subterfuge missions out of with a full Slaver faction... Similar to the Civil War overhaul for Skyrim: Have settlements that are pre-established and defended that are flagged as Slaver or Settler and run missions to capture/attack settlements or defend settlements

Cool, we now have lots of ideas, I'll try to find some experienced modders to show them this topic, and who knows, maybe this mod will become a reality then :) We just need to bring more people interested in this mod into this thread.

I'm loving this idea, and in fact, I had come to the forums to suggest something JUST like this. (Really glad I kept going through older posts)

Perhaps mission success rates could be determined by the team skill, size, and equipment quality? For something like radiant quests, I'd like to be able to have separate groups of people I can send it for different tasks.

Imagine, being The General and having elite "commandos" at your disposal... to send to kill all those pesky bloodbugs.

As for skill, it could reflect on how many missions that NPC has survived through and completed, or maybe how many caps/time/other resources you've invested into their training. This is starting to sound a lot like Fallout Shelter now. :P
