Everything except his perks, they show up and get removed fine but they give no actual bonuses.Other then that he seems to be all up and working, also his skin tone is fine in my game. I thought it was something similar like in Oblivion, adding Race Abilities and such but its something to do with Scripts... and I hate scripts.. He's just a general Wasteland traveler/drifter sorta guy with a large dose of sarcasm. None of this NCR Ranger/Soldier dripple thats kept fed down our throats. DrakenGuard Posted August 2, 2011 Author Share Posted August 2, 2011 Im going to add comments to Travis when he is in idle mod, so when he is near a spersific NPC like Veronica or Arcade, it will be a comment on either how they look or what not. Even going to include Sunny Smiles as I have her as a Companion. Will add Marcus too cos he is a True Classic... and Micheal Dorn is so fab. Oh and Willow as well, Travis is pretty much based on the same idea as he, abiet far less complex. Im learning people! Just using the Amigo Cafe as a jump start in the whole dialogue and scripting, hence saving me a whole lot of head ache. I can creat companion mods myself but not to this complexity. Voice acting.. oh hohohoho... Im dreading the thought of it, but not at all arsed about the bad aspects of it. Just wish to goive it ago. Taken perfomance classes on this so I know some excercises on voice control etc. What I would like is help making a Short background story dialogue for Travis aswell as perhaps a better way of getting him instead of just recruiting him, there and then on the spot, perhaps Hire him for 5000 or heck a lil quest.. Perhaps a speach check or Love perk thing pass. I dunno, Im just happy this thing has got a brilliant jumpstart from the resources available. He now reconises the 4 Human Companions (Raul, Veronica, Boone and Cass) Its just him acknolegeing them as in Idle mode if you tell him to wait and also if you go into Alert Idle mode etc. Yet to add ED-E and Rex but will do that in next update. DrakenGuard Posted August 3, 2011 Author Share Posted August 3, 2011 (edited) despite not having much of a dialogue in the sense of complete Sentances, he does have multible responses aswell as Idle Chatter, NPC reconision and with the multible responses - he has emotion and hand gestures like when trading, he hand you somehing etc. Lil things like that are the easiest thing in dialogue I recon and requires no Scripts, just set the conditions ( I learnt some of them by just messing about and not looking at a guide or so in most things) like GetIsID for NPC only and GetIsID set on target and GetIsSex on target to have Fem only dialogue. The rest of Travis's dialogue is universal except for certain stuff. Im forever expanding on the IdleChatter as I want him to say as much as possible. I hope I am making sense. @drakeelvin, THANK YOU ever so much for the Amigo Cafe mod as it certainly has saved me much time and effort. I still need to check for any possible conflicts on any mod that may be based on the same Amigo Cafe template as The Base ID and scripts are still the same and I have not changes anything esle except cosmetic appearence, Stats, weapons and inventory aswell as expanding on the dialogue like Combat, Alertness, Conversation etc all these themselfs are really me experimenting but they seem to work first time. One thing I have noticed is the Sandbox AI packages dont let Travis speak t any NPCs whist in Sandbox mod. For instance, if he is in a room with the vanilla Companions, he just keeps wandering around them, ignoring any dialogue unless they talk to him first. I just want him to be a lil less active and be able to initiate dialogue with them as I have added some NPC spersific Hellos and comments like If Travis speaks to Arcade, he will call him Foureyes and also with Cass and Veronica, he will try and flirt with them I would like to add some responses to the Vanilla Comps when speaking to Travis but still concerned with any conflicts so Im leaving it at that. If possible, could you have a once over of the Scripts and dialogue to see if I have made any mistakes or possible errors, conflicts and even possible game crashes and screw ups in the latest version. I am updating this now one I finished this post. It IS based upon your original mod and you have a much better understanding of Dialogue and scrips than I do. No rush about it as I need to get started on the dialogue again once I sorted out the Micraphone deal. Already have Audacity and all that jazz so Im good in that aspect. The Lip sync files, despite spending half the afternoon creating them dont work, and I sound like a dile of dog poop when listening to my attempts to voice Travis.
