Dijas
One of the things that could improve the playability of Morrowind would be undoubtly an access to more quick keys. As far as I know, we have only ten quick keys and one of it is for hand-to-hand, which I don't use much. My last character is a Crusade and I use four Destruction Spells often. I'm using also a longblade, a blunt weapon, a shortblade, a longbow and an axe; using also often enchanted items, which are four at least; using always in my quick keys restore health, magicka and fatigue potions (a quick key for each). In order to use these items which I consider essencial, I would need 16 quick keys. I suppose there isn't any way to make it available. Is it? If not, sure it would be a large improvement in next Bethesda's work. Right? Who agrees?
Limorkil
I agree. Definately would have liked more quick keys for spells and such. Another 9-10 would have been enough. I also play on Xbox where there are no quick keys at all. I miss the quick keys more than I miss the inability to have mods.
DragoonFurey
I agree it can sometimes be anoying only having 6 quick spells, but on the flip side opening the menu pauses the action and lets you select spells, equipment, and use potions so its not a Major drawback, but it is something that could be improved. ShinJiOh
I'm going to agree with dragoon here, the menu thing is in a way better than the quickkeys in the way that it stops time and lets you chose what you need which is mostly good because sometimes during battle i do something bad like :innocent: um i set spear to 4 an boots of blindning speed to 5 you have no idea how many times i pressed 5  another reason why menu is good so i can amend these technicalities ;)
Limorkil
I don't like that the menu pauses the action. Makes things too easy. I would have liked "Menu pauses the action" to have been an option, which it is in some RPGs.
Dijas
Undoubtly, Limorkil. While you're in a tough battle, you can always pause it by right clicking and think «mmm... let's see what I got here... aha! Maybe this will work...»But the action gives more fun to the game. When I'm fighting smugglers and other NPC's I'd love to use my 40 quick keys set. It would rock!I'm not saying the menu should be disabled, but to have more quick keys would make the game more interesting, believe me. When I used my quick keys the first time I noticed perfectly the difference.
J316
I wonder if you could make some of the "F" keys quick keys in the editor.... I use all of mine, and I need more. EX: I have a constant effect enchanted waterwalking shirt and one with swiftswim. I always have to switch back anf forth between them. :D
ShinJiOh
dijas my most improtant question was that if you were to have more quick action keys what would you have them as e.g take the num pad the letters t,y,u,i,o,pexplain?
Dijas
Let's see if I can explain it. e.g. 1 - a Key [V, for instance] to brings the quick keys menu 2 - the menu would show up with four slots - slot [1] [2] [3] [4] 3 - each slot would open a new menu from [1] to [0] 4 - editing quick keys: Key [F1, for instance] 5 - [F1] would bring up a menu with the four slots: [1] [2] [3] [4] 6 - each slot could add ten new items from [1] to [0] 7 - in order to hold my prefered weapon, I'd type [V11]; to cast my favorite spell I'd type [V12] and so one... PS: I don't really know if it is possible, I'm just imagining.
ShinJiOh
that might work but then many might get confused with which button is which and really if you are at a point where if the enemy hits you one more time you die having to remember the buttons and then press them i think would be an ordeal. however i believe the following might work if computers could have gamepads that were keyboards with heaps more buttons that could have removeable stickers to say what each key would do then maybe.... :construction:
