Head 06 trouble

Well, I was following the tutorial on how to edit the head06 mesh and followed it down to the very letter. The problem is that once I finish, I pull up my new race mod and add the head in the CS, I go to the facegen tab and the CS crashes. I try again, this time I don't open facegen and I save it. I open OBSE, make a new game, and while I'm in the race menu looking for my race everything is fine. As soon as I finally get to my modded race, the game crashes! :ohmy: I looked over the tutorial over and over again, but found no mistakes on my part, I stuck to the instructions! :wallbash: I'm wondering if anyone could give me any advice on what to do because at this moment, I'm stuck. :wallbash: Any help is appreciated!

Usually the game and CS crash when one of the EGM, EGT or TRI files for one of your head/face meshes is missing. Make sure all these NIFs have those other files and they're named accordingly.

Having done any changes to vertex order during altering the head mesh or any of the others, like when importing from NIF, exporting to NIF or using any more complex scripted modification step or altering the UV map, can also lead to such crashes. Normally the meshes will just explode into thousands of polygones stretching into random directions when this happens, but sometimes the game can't handle this and instead crashes because of it.

Well how about that...working now that I used the .tri/.egm files as well! Thanks, really never would've guessed that that was the case! :thumbsup:
