Rating the joinable factions

DragoonFurey : Unfortunately everyone has a different opinion of fun, and perhaps my idea of fun differs from the majority. I agree that the thieves guild has SOME fun quests, but also quite a few that are simple "go here, get that, bring it back" type quests. Same goes for the Morag Tong. Yes, it is quite fun to kill people for money, but realistically the quests are rather repetitive. I did not really consider the "theme" of the faction as part of the rating. I agree that being an assassin IS possibly more fun than - say - being a lowly lay servant in the Imperial Cult, but I never really considered image. So, yes, it's cool to assassinate people, but the process isn't really all that exciting when you get down to it - IMO. (The Morag Tong is actually my favorite faction, not that you can tell from the ratings.) EDIT: Just want to point out that I did also consider the webspinner quests, which are better but are still along the lines of going somewhere and killing someone.

 

Dijas : I gave the Imperial Cult an "A" rating for reward, meaning that the rewards are great. Yes, I like boots of the apostle too.

 

Malchik : I have done all the quests in all the factions, but I did not do anything so time consuming as rate the individual quests and take an average. That would not necessarily give good results anyhow, because early quests are generally "easier" and "less important" than later quests, which means that I would need some sort of weighting system. So, the answer is that I subjectively assigned ratings. That's part of why I am interested in what people think, because the ratings are just my opinion and my opinion is no more or less valuable than that of anyone else.

 

Dr. Corbett : I found most of the Temple rewards to be not all that useful, except for the big one at the very end. However, I confess that a "C" rating was rather harsh. Perhaps a "B" would be more realistic. That's why I am interested in people's opinions, so that I can fine tune my own.
