hideouscircus
so ........ I've tried my hand at doing armor mash ups in nifskope with way more success than I had previously thought possible with my modding knowledge base. With the armors I've gotten everything to work for me with minimal screwing around. So I decide to attempt to tweak the vanilla laser rifle as little more to my liking by adding a barrel to the vanilla model. I open up both meshes in nifskope and copy the branch data of the part I want to use for the barrel and paste it into the vanilla laser rifle mesh. I Adjust the new barrels position with the TRANSFORM>EDIT command, and the APPLY the changes. The problem I'm having here is that the new parts I'm pasting into the vanilla laser rifle mesh aren't showing up in the game. I don't mean like a flashing texture where the texture path is wrong, I mean a complete lack of new parts. I went into the GECK and made an ESP to add my custom model to the game, wnt in and edited the vanilla laser rifle in the GECK (changed the ID number and made a new reference) so that the new laser rifle would use my customized mesh, but when I go into the game and equip the rifle it still looks like a vanilla laser rifle ......(should also point out that I have also tried stripifying the new model as well as updating the tangent space, but with no luck) Does anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong here? Seems like it should be a very simple process, however I can't get it to work for me. Granted I have taught myself how to use nifskope through trial and error, so i would not doubt that I'm forgetting a step somewhere. Any help would be greatly appreciated. micalov
Just out of curiosity, did you set the first person view model to none?
