Majoritas
Hi. I've got some problem with New Vegas. I played it without single problem 7 months ago, but now when I install it, the refuses to start. The launcher shows up ok, but when I hit start, I get a little black window in upper left corner, which disappears immediately, and that's everything that happens. When I try launching it from steamapps folder, it shows up crash report with appcompat.txt. I can provide what it says. Anyone knows how to fix this? I have newest graphics drivers (nvidia geforce 8800gts), same for direct x. I'm running win XP. Thanks

Try Verifying the game cache by right-clicking on F:NV going to "Properties" then "local files" then "Verify integrity of game cache"
