Construction Set gallery or database?

Hello all, I'm new to modding and have started my own little project. I find that the biggest barrier to modding is the awful interface of the cs. Is there any website, gallery, spreadsheet, anything at all that makes it easier to find an item?? I spend more time looking for a table or a post with a skull then anything else, and it's really discouraging and time consuming. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thats the first thing I thought of when I started modding, and I still want one whenever I do worldbuilding. Until it happens, the easiest solution is going to another cell that has the item you want, and copying it.

Nope, there really isn't anything that can be done other than just learning where things are. While you can do some seperating within the .ini, most of the categories are based on the directoty of the .nif, the texture, or even the icon of the item. This is useful when you want to work within a single tileset, but can be a bit of an annoyance when you're adding a broad range of clutter to a room. As Sypron suggested, if you know what you want, you're usually best just loading that cell, and either copying it, or figuring out where in the list it is. If you don't know what you want, or where you can find it, you're pretty much stuck to browsing the list, looking at what it is, and either placing it, or deleting it. I've personally spent a good deal of time doing this to get some rooms looking right, only to change my mind later. As long as you remember to delete what you place, and aren't placing things in a cell you havn't already edited, there shouldn't be any significant sideeffects of doing this. Just make sure you don't delete stuff that was already there.

There is a spreadsheet which lists all item names and form IDs, but it's only helpful if the item you're looking for is well-named (i.e. hopefully a post with a skull on it will have "skull" somewhere in the name or formID).
