dethtoll Posted September 2, 2007 Share Posted September 2, 2007 not sure where to put this, so i'm trying tech support as a shot in the dark. so i recently got oblivion, KotN, and shivering isles, as well as a few mods i've collected: unofficial oblivion patchunofficial shivering isles patchunofficial official mods patchnatural environmentskobu's character advancement systemdarnified UIfrancesco's levelled items/creatures mod (and the optional new items/creatures addon) is there a specific order i should install the game, etc. in, as well as the load order in the oblivion mod manager, to avoid conflicts that might mess up my game? i'm pretty new to all this, so i don't really know what i'm doing here. Generally patches go at the top as they change alot so if a mod changes that as well the mods that come after will still work.Natural Enviroments I would place next personally along with other enviroment and sound stuff.Kobu's can go here.UI here.Fran's here as it is a bigger mod and it does alot so near the bottom is good.Knights should pretty much always be on the bottom as it easily conflicts. Because it changes so much stuff if you had it load last it would screw up too many mods. Shivering Isles Patch I've never used but it will have to load after the Shivering Isles stuff as otherwise the official stuff would overwrite the changes making it useless. So Shivering Isles patch after Shivering Isles. Unofficial Official Mods Patch should go after all the official mods so after Knights. Probably last in load order. So like... Unofficial Oblivion Patch(Frans can also go here)Natural EnviromentsKobu'sUI Fran'sAll other than Knights official mods. Including Shivering Isles (Indicated by DLC)Shivering Isles PatchKnightsUnofficial Official Mods Patch Just remember this way. What is loaded after takes predominance.So if you have two mods. One that changes leveling to 2x and another that changes to 3x the one loaded any time after the first will be the one the game goes with because it is loaded after, overwriting the first.
