Toggle Names/Items

Recommended Posts

I just finished playing TW1 and loved it. I'm now on TW2 and can't seem to find a place to toggle things like NPC name's or item name's

In TW1 you could toggle all items and that you could search through e.g. "barrel" you didnt havnt to just run around all the barrels/boxes/(insert next thing) to click to collect items.

Also with the name toggling, atleast in TW1 if someone had a name it meant talking to em generally ment some part of your quest would be done or handed another one and you could save yourself the hassle of talking to "peasent" and focus on "named peasent"

If there is any way to toggle this on I would be one happy gamer!

Thanks

*Sorry if a post like this has been done, i spent a whole 5mins looking through the forums and decided it would be easier for me just to ask*

I haven`t found a way to toggle npc names . If you want to see lootable containers and places of power just press the Z key

To elaborate on Tommy's answer, pressing Z activates your amulet, anything within a reasonable range (looks like something in the order of 10 to 15 meters from Geralt) carries a sustained orange glow for a minute or two if it can either be

1). activated (doors, traps, etc) or

2). is a lootable container. (including plants with ingredients and bodies)

This can, on a few occasions, get annoying as there are a few containers that you just can't get in the right position to loot. In the town before going down into the sewer there are at least 2 small cabinets and a bookshelf that contain something but the furniture arrangement makes it impossible to get within range. However on the plus side you will find that there are also occasions where bodies have disappeared before you have has the chance to loot them, pressing Z will highlight the positions where the small remaining loot sacks are, quite often these can be obscured by undergrowth and other statics, but using this method you can find them.
