bomb collar help

OK first things first. forgive my grammar. My issue started when I went to the Sierra Madre from the dlc. Nice dlc by the way. When you go to the Sierra Madre you get that bomb collar put on. the one that explodes if you leave. now it might have been a glitch or the way i did something. ( been a few months ) . but when i finished that DLC and returned too the wasteland. my collar wasn't removed. didn't explode either. now at first i thought. Kewl, a little souvenir. its even in my pip boy under the clothing section. But I can not remove it as it says its a quest item. :wallbash: . Ok fine. Not critical to gameplay, But over time it has become,, annoying to say the least. I do not know how to remove it. and found nothing on Google.

I am not a custom to asking for help on forums. I normally do the helping, sorry if I broke any rules here.

So as it stands. Any help on how to or anyone who can point me in the right direction can be my Savoir :tongue:

If you manage to find the Base ID of the collar, you can simply use the open the console and type: player.removeitem xxxxxxxxx 1. (x being the numbers of the Base ID). This however won't be optional if you are playing it on the Xbox 360 or PS3.

 

EDIT: Open the console and type in: player.removeitem XX01006E8F 1

 

"XX" is the number in which the DLC is in your load order. If Dead Money is second in your load order, put 02 infront of the Base ID. If it's 4th in the load order, put 04, etc.

Actually, if the Dead Money is second in the load order the base id will be 01, the first entry is 00. There's an offset by -1 since 0 is counted as the first number. Edited by Sunnie
