Lonephantom777 Posted May 23, 2016 Share Posted May 23, 2016 (edited) Hello, everyone. I could really use some help. So, I was just logging into Steam to play Fallout 4, innocent as you please. Recently, I had to change the name of the application file because before, it was nastily looping me through the launcher over and over and over without letting me play the game. And yet, as I loaded up Far Habor, it seemed that all was working well--I had all my mods working, and the game played nicely.Now, when I tried to load the gam tonight, as I'd been doing, my attempts to continue where I left off were thwarted by the report that it couldn't find the mods I'd used. So I went to the Nexus Mod Manager and checked...and for some inexplicable reason, it had unchecked all of the mods that I'd been using, and then checked the ones I WASN'T using. With no input from me at all. Confusing. But supposedly an easy fix--just re-check the mods I'd been using, and then click "Launch Fallout 4." Simple, right?Only every time I try, the following error message pops up: "Failed to Launch 'Fallout4.exe'The system cannot find the file specified." So...how do I fix this? Is there some setting I have to change? Some update that happened to completely screw over Nexus Mod Manager for Fallout 4? Do I have to go back and change the application file again, even though it was working the other day? I just got back from a long day at work. All I want is to play a game that I paid money for, without any difficulties. I don't need this. Not one bit. *UPDATE*I went back and changed the application name back to its original form, and found myself able to launch the game without difficulties--including the bug that prompted me to change the name in the first place. I'm getting the same error and can't find anything on how to fix it. I am trying to launch from NMM to play with selected mods, however every time I try I get "cannot locate .exe" error you were getting.
