Stealthboy like effect for Chameleon Deathclaw

I want to add a stealthboy like effect to the Chameleon deathclaw as part of my up and coming deathclaw overhaul. I started by looking at the coursers to see if they used some kind of invisibility script to add the effect but it seems like they just have stealth boys. This is going to be my first mod so i haven't worked with scripts before. What would be the best way to apply a invisibility effect, preferably one whose magnitude can be edited to make the invisibility not as good as a stealthboy so it looks more natural.

Maybe you can ask the creator of the super mutant overhaul? He was able to make a cloaking and uncloaking nightkin- even with a fancy little visual effect when they do it.
