Requesting New Look for Mage Guild Portals

Maybe I dreamt it, but I could have sworn I've seen a mod somewhere that adds a smiley face skin to the mage guild portals. If someone else has seen it too could you tell me where you saw it? I've been looking everywhere and can't find any alternative portal skins for Oblivion.

 

If this mod doesn't already exist, maybe someone could create new skins for mages portals to be used as a resource for modding and/or as a replacement look in the game. Not necessarily smiley faces but that would be okay too. :)

 

I was thinking that some of the Oblivion symbols for the signs, races & classes or for fighters, thieves, D.B., Necro's and other groups in Oblivion would make good alternative skins for the traditional mage guild portals.

As for the request, I dont see a reason why you dont like it. It seems pretty nice to me.

Its a good idead though, might add a new feeling. Maybe someone could make some tapestries along with that.

Thanx Chingun, I'll give the mod detectives a try. Please don't get me wrong, I like the mage portals. But as you said, some new (alternate) ones might add a new feeling. Plus, variety is a good thing. I like the matching tapestry idea too.

 

Edit: Just checked out the mod detectives and they require that you 'know' the mod exists before asking about it. Since I don't know for sure if this mod exists I don't want to post an inquiry there and risk making them angry. Thanx for the suggestion anyway.

Then go to general mod talk, and ask there. If nobody heard of such a mod, then give the detectives a try. Mr. Sherlock Holmes will look into it ;)
